This wine is sold through the flagship store run by well-known Chinese wine influencer Xiao Pi. In an earlier interview with us, Xiao Pi noted that Chinese online consumers are often drawn to wines with a strong sense of personality, and this bottle’s vase-like shape fits that preference neatly.
On the product page, the store owner uses playful language to recount the wine’s success in entering the U.S. market, adding an extra layer of character to the product.
According to Vino Joy News, the wine was imported by Zefiro Wines. In Xiao Pi’s store, it is priced at RMB 208 (about US$29), and the checkout page includes a reminder that it should be served chilled.
The same product page also offers Villa Sparina Barbera red wine.
Taobao/Tmall data show that the product recorded more than 700 sales in the past 30 days, with annual sales across the platforms of around 7,000-plus over the past 365 days.
