Feudi di San Gregorio is without a doubt one of the most representative and renowned producers from Campania.

Sirca is the name of a grape of ancient origin, that can trace back to Roman times or earlier times. The grape almost became extinct as for many other indigenous grapes that have fallen into oblivion. But its existence today is inextricably linked to Feudi di San Gregorio. Starting from three vineyard tress of two hundred years old, the winery studied this “new” variety intently in partnership with the University of Milan and Naples, then planted in small vineyard plots.

DNA analysis revealed characteristics in common with Shiraz, Refosco and Teroldego from north Italy. The unique profile and taste of the wine has distinguished itself from the winery’s far more lauded Aglianico or any other red varietals from Campania. The 2015 Sirica reveals a warm and broad nose with dark fruit, spice, crushed black pepper and savory leather. A full and complete wine that offers soft tannins and loads of generous richness.

The wine is imported in Hong Kong by Sino Vantage Asia.
