Sabino Loffredo of Pietracupa winery in Campania is one of the most talented winemakers in Southern Italy. With his craftsmanship and sensitivity to the land, he crafts a range of characterful and age-worthy white wines made from Campania’s signature Greco and Fiano grapes.

The Greco G made from 100% Greco grape in Avellino’s Greco di Fufo DOCG region – one of the only four DOCGs in Campania and Basilicata – is perhaps the perfect representation of Loffredo’s mastery at sculpting long ageing and zappy whites.

The wine was inaugurated in 2010 and was made after the winemaker was sure he had learned from all his past mistakes. The Greco G is complex and layered with mineral nuances, yellow fruit, honey and candied almond. Vibrant and energetic. It is perhaps with no surprise that Loffredo’s white wines have earned him his reputation as one of the most capable, instinctive, and consistent white wines producers in Italy by Gambero Rosso.
