No. 9 New Zealand

New Zealand ranked as China’s 9th biggest wine supplier, with 16 million euros worth of wines shipped to the country last year during the pandemic, down by 14%.
Beyond its Sauvignon Blanc, the island country is known for crafting cool-climate Pinot Noir.
New Zealand and China have established Free Trade Agreement but its wines never achieved the kind of success enjoyed by its neighbor – Australia.
But earlier this year, the two countries signed an agreement to upgrade its bilateral FTA agreement to further boost trade. Will New Zealand see a late surge in China market? It remains to be seen.
