From a pét-nat sparkling wine to a 100% Malbec, these are latest Chinese wine releases that are hitting the market.

Tiansai Vineyard S20 Snow Leopard Dry Red Wine

Established in 2010, Tiansai Vineyards is located over 1,100 metres above sea level in Yanqi of Xinjiang. Regarded as a market leader in China‘s organic wine production, it was one of the first wineries to be certified organic in the region by Chinese authorities.

The vineyard’s team is studded with international experts including wine consultant Li Demei, who was reputed as ‘world top 10 influential wine consultants’, and Chief Winemaker Ms. Lilian Carter who grew up in a family of winemakers.

The winery mainly produces wines from Bordeaux grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Its Skyline of Gobi 2020 has won the Silver medal in Decanter World Wine Awards 2021.

The S20 Snow Leopard Dry Red Wine is a new release of the winery’s ‘T/S series’. ‘T/S series’ is dedicated to the winery’s effort in protecting and preserving the habitat of endangered snow leopards, which are seen as the symbol of the unique Tibetan Plateau culture. ‘T’ represents Tianshan, and ‘S’ stands for snow leopard.

The S20 Snow Leopard collection comes with two wines, a Cabernet and a Cabernet/Merlot blend. Both are sold at RMB 258 (USD 40) each on JD.com.
