Here are the key wine and spirits fairs planned for mainland China and Hong Kong for 2022, where organizers are hoping to reboot and bring top-notch experience to wine trade and consumers.

China International Import Expo

Debuted in 2018, the China International Import Expo is the world’s first national level expo with an import theme, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government. The trade fair is usually held in autumn annually and kick started by President Xi Jinping’s opening speech.

For its fourth edition last year, nearly 3,000 businesses from 127 countries and regions gathered in an over 366,000 square meters exhibition area at the National Convention & Exhibition Center. The event quickly drew one-year tentative deals reaching RMB 70.72 billion (US$11.1 billion) in just a six-day period.

The fifth CIIE has started attracting exhibitors for innovation incubation subsection this month. It is reported that 150,000 square meters of exhibition area has already been booked for the national=scale exhibition.
