From what is dubbed as China's first sparkling wine themed festival in Shanghai to a wine competition trumping China's signature grape, Marselan, here are the highlights from China's wine industry.

Huaiai in Heibei province has unveiled a wine trading center, where locally produced red wines will be sold directly on JD.com, China’s giant e-commerce platform, according to local news reports.

The center is expected to expand Huailai wine’s market and lift its image. No other details are immediately available.
