Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival is returning this October

This year, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival will return to the Central Harbourfront from October 23 to 26, 2025.

Each autumn, Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront transforms into a stage for wine and gastronomy. The sound of clinking glasses fills the air, as enthusiasts flock to sample everything from Bordeaux grands crus to emerging wine regions and boutique Chinese labels — a lively snapshot of the global wine industry’s pulse.

This year, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival will return to the Central Harbourfront from October 23 to 26, 2025. Over four days, visitors can sample Bordeaux 1855 classified growths, discover wines from across the globe, and enjoy gourmet pairings in a celebration that blends tasting with cultural exchange.

A major highlight will be the Grand Wine Pavillion, featuring curated collections selected by leading critics such as James Suckling. The timing also marks the 170th anniversary of the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, offering rare opportunities to taste iconic wines from classified estates, innovative expressions from a younger generation of winemakers, and prized bottlings from top châteaux. Masterclasses and exclusive tastings will provide both trade and public audiences with deeper insight.

This year’s festival expands its global reach. Alongside familiar origins such as France, Italy, Spain, the UK, and Japan, wines from the Czech Republic, Belgium, Norway, and Austria will make their debut. Chinese wines will continue to be in the spotlight: last year, 29 producers from Ningxia, Sichuan, and Yunnan took part, highlighting the festival’s role as a launchpad for Chinese wines on the international stage.

Culinary offerings will be equally ambitious. Michelin- and Black Pearl-acclaimed chefs from London, Beijing, Seoul, and Hong Kong will serve exclusive creations available only during the event. Several Michelin- and Black Pearl-certified restaurants will also set up booths, bringing festival-goers a rare dining experience.

Since its launch in 2009 by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Wine & Dine Festival has grown into one of Asia’s largest outdoor wine and food fairs, designed to showcase international excellence and reinforce Hong Kong’s status as a global culinary capital. Last year’s edition drew more than 300 booths, featuring award-winning wines, trending beverages, and labels from emerging regions, along with nearly 100 food stalls offering global favorites.

At the 2024 opening, Acting Financial Secretary Michael Wong highlighted the festival’s growing appeal, noting that the 2023 edition attracted around 140,000 visitors. “Hong Kong is steadily becoming a global wine hub, where enthusiasts can taste products from around the world,” he said. “The city’s many Michelin-starred restaurants, often at accessible prices, further enhance its unique appeal.”
