Dachser, the German logistics provider with more than 90 years of experience, is expanding its wine and spirits logistics services across the Asia Pacific region as demand rises for imports from Europe.
The company said its Air & Sea Logistics unit will offer integrated supply chain solutions connecting Europe and APAC, combining air and sea freight with its established European road network. The expansion aims to strengthen Dachser’s position in the region, where the wine and spirits market is forecast to grow 5% to 6% annually through 2030.
The APAC wine and spirits market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5-6% until 2030, driven by rising consumer demand and expanding trade. “The region presents significant opportunities for Dachser to apply our established expertise in wine and spirits logistics,” said Roman Mueller, managing director for Air & Sea Logistics Asia Pacific. “We are committed to delivering wine and spirits with excellence, ensuring customers experience a first-class journey from European wineries to markets across APAC.”
The company showcased its expanded portfolio in May at ProWine Hong Kong 2025 under the motto, “Wine and spirits, delivered with excellence.” Dachser engaged with trading firms, importers, distributors and hospitality professionals to highlight how its services can support business growth and supply chain resilience in fast-changing beverage markets.
Dachser’s services include multimodal transport — air, sea, and European road freight — along with buyers’ consolidation, customs clearance, warehousing, temperature-controlled handling and in-house insurance. All are supported by Dachser’s proprietary digital systems that offer real-time tracking and estimated arrival times.
“We consolidate shipments from multiple European suppliers to a single consignee and act as a one-stop logistics partner,” said Sébastien Ferrandiz, business development manager for food and beverage logistics in Asia Pacific. “By managing the European journey of wine and spirits through our own trucking network, freight stations and dedicated teams, we enable our customers to focus on growth while we ensure reliability and efficiency.”
Dachser has operated in Asia Pacific for more than 45 years and now has more than 40 locations in the region, including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Seoul and Mumbai. In 2023, the company expanded to Australia and New Zealand through an acquisition and opened offices in Japan, Chiang Mai and Da Nang.
With its expanded presence in APAC and strong European network, Dachser said it is positioned to deliver a wide range of logistics services tailored to the wine and spirits sector.
