Dolce & Gabbana and Donnafugata

Fashion house Dolce & Gabbana is dabbing into the world of wine. Its first wine project in collaboration with fellow Sicilian winery Donnafugata is already making waves.
Its Provençal style rosé, made from Sicily’s indigenous Nerello Mascalese and Nocera grapes, has apparently sold out upon release in Hong Kong this summer, according to the its wine importer Sino Vantage Asia Ltd.
The second wine from the collaboration, Tancredi, the flagship ship red wine from the Sicilian winery, will be “dressed” in festive and sleek designs by the fashion house, featuring bright blue, red and yellow colors in geometrical patterns.
Made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Nero d’Avola, the wine comes in limited editions, only 8,013 bottles produced.
