ASC Fine Wines has renewed and expanded its long-standing partnership with Domaine Clarence Dillon, strengthening its role as the exclusive importer and distributor of the Clarendelle range in China, the companies said.
The announcement coincides with a visit to China by Prince Robert of Luxembourg, his first in more than a decade, marking both the renewed collaboration and the 20th anniversary of Clarendelle’s presence in the Chinese market.
Under the updated agreement, ASC will deepen its collaboration across Domaine Clarence Dillon’s broader portfolio, which includes flagship estates such as Château Haut-Brion, Château La Mission Haut-Brion and Château Quintus, alongside the Clarendelle wines.
The move underscores China’s continued importance to the Bordeaux-based group, even as the country’s wine market faces prolonged contraction.

“This visit is about celebrating a family friendship that spans decades and a shared passion for wine,” said Don St. Pierre. “Prince Robert’s presence reaffirms a deep belief in the Chinese market. Together, we are bringing exceptional wines to Chinese consumers and, more importantly, telling the stories and traditions behind them.”
Clarendelle, created in 2005 by Prince Robert, was conceived as a more accessible expression of the family’s Bordeaux winemaking philosophy. Introduced to China by ASC in 2006, it has since become a key entry point for local consumers into the Domaine Clarence Dillon portfolio.
The wine was also picked as the exclusive wine served at the 98th Oscars® and the official wine partner of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
Speaking during the visit to mark Calrendelle’s 20th anniversary in China, Prince Robert said the renewed partnership builds on a relationship that began “with a handshake and a shared vision.”
“Today, that vision evolves as we celebrate 20 years of Clarendelle here and embark on this next chapter together,” he said. “We are dedicated to sharing the elegance, authenticity, and Art de Vivre of Bordeaux with China.”
As part of the visit, Prince Robert hosted a series of events in Shanghai and Guangzhou, including masterclasses and a gala dinner, aimed at engaging consumers, trade and media rather than driving immediate commercial activity.
Founded by the St. Pierre family in 1996, ASC Fine Wines is the leading premium and fine wine importer and distributor in China, with its highly effective sales network covering Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Domaine Clarence Dillon, owned by the Dillon family since 1935, oversees some of Bordeaux’s most historic estates and has increasingly positioned China as a strategic long-term market.
